Wedding Party!

The time had finally come to celebrate with all of our friends and family. It was a perfect day! The weather cooperated, the details all turned out, and surprisingly, we had a great turn-out! For whatever reason, I wasn't expecting that. It was so amazing to see so many people come to the party to see us and share in our joy. It was one of those moments that gave me a lot of hope for our future. That people, even if they don't agree with you or your lifestyle, can put differences aside and just be happy for you!

We served up all my favorite treats. A chocolate table is always a good idea!

Our flowers were our "thank you" to our guests and they got to take them home with them!

My mom came! Even though she probably didn't want to be there, she did what she could do (baby steps!).

We were really nice to each other - no smashing cake in the face.

EVEN THOUGH I WANTED TO!

Then we danced to "Marry Me" by Train. Man, I love that song! Brings back a flood of memories now!

Then, it was time to throw the bouquet. And guess who caught it? If you have read from the beginning of the blog, you will remember me mentioning the girl who helped me at the The Brides' Shop? Yup! She is the one who caught it, and she did end up getting married to her girlfriend shortly after! So cool!

Kris getting the garter belt. I got made fun of because I put it too high, not realizing at the time... Oops! HA!

It was truly a great evening! I felt so much happiness and love from all that came that night, it was truly inspiring. A memory that moves me to this day!

"The idea is to live your life in a way that makes you feel lit up. Alive. Full fledged. Beautiful. Know and find what nourishes you inside out, bones to skin and then build your world from that alone. All else is not part of your revolution, or your ultimate evolution." -Victoria Erickson
